During the second half of the 20th century, the increasing migration flows have been an essential element of political and economic globalization processes. They contributed to reframe the demographic, social and economic landscape of developed countries. Immigration has become a key issue in contemporary debates and represents major challenges at the dawn of the 21st century. Within this current context there is a demand to develop more profound understanding of the economic and social dynamics of immigration and its impact on the market.

This conference will bring together scholars from various disciplines: marketing, sociology, anthropology, history but also social activists, public officials and professionals. The objective is not only to have an overview of the existing research but to open further research in the field to contribute to the development of theoretical and practical knowledge.
